CCI Innovations for education & skills: Vocational education and training in every European country is based on different traditions and concepts. Recently, we have seen a shift from job-related special trainings to comprehensive and very broad educational concepts for adult education. Educational concepts are based on the paradigm of lifelong learning and span from secondary and tertiary education to adult training and even include special labour market measurements.
This breakout session focuses on the changed conditions of skills and knowledge acquisition for individuals and organisations within the cultural and creative industry, and wants to layout new ways of knowledge creation and acquisition. The developments in ICT and social media have turned yesterday’s methods of learning and teaching on its head. In order to meet the new conditions of a networked society, a non-hierarchical and bottom-up approach for learning is needed more than before as described by the philosophers Deleuze and Guttari (1987) in the concept of rhizomatic learning and thinking.
The 2nd European Workshop of the Erasmus+ DeuS project will be organized as the fifth and last breakout session (BoS) of the European Creative Industries Summit – #ECIS2020 “Framing Creative Futures”.
In this fifth and last breakout session we want to discuss on the one hand the conditions for today’s CCI actors but also the needs for individuals and communities to cope with today’s societal challenges. The idea of open Knowledge Transfer (KT) and Design as a peer to peer learning experience will be discuss as well as the measurements of individual needs.
Together we will discuss the latest developments for the needs of European CCIs in the areas of education and skills development. The conclusions of this BoS #5 will be presented to the representatives of the German EU Presidency and the EU Commission at the end of the conference.
