CCI innovations beyond the crisis:
While our economies wake from their hibernation and are brought back to life, it is already time to think about how a world beyond the crisis works and what role the CCIs could be playing. It is clear that nothing will be the same again. If we go back and pretend nothing has happened, we will fail miserably. We have to learn how we can build sustainable societies; creative and cultural entrepreneurs and their innovations can play a crucial role in this transformation. Already before the crisis, we witnessed that the CCIs are helping to transform our businesses and societies.
Through their daily activities, the creatives guarantee and promote innovations in many areas of the economy as a whole - from the healthcare industry to the construction sector, from the automotive industry to the platform economy. These transformative forces must be promoted and can be used for social measures in order to forge the economic and social success stories of the coming years in Europe.
At the third breakout session of this year's # ECIS2020, we aim to discuss the conditions and possibilities of the cultural and creative industries to lead out of the crisis and to identify possible solutions beyond the crisis.
Together we will discuss the latest developments for European CCIs concerning the Covid-19 crisis and how creative innovations help to lead out of the crisis. The conclusions of this BoS#3 will be presented to the representatives of the German EU Presidency and the EU Commission at the end of the conference.
„Framing Creative Futures“ is a collaboration of the of the European Creative Business Network, the Ministry for Economics Affairs and Energy and the Competence Centre for Creative Industries in Germany.
The European Creative Industries Summit (ECIS) is a annual conference by and for the European Creative Economy. Therefore, ECBN as the project owner, works with local organisations every year to organise this annual ECIS summit in parallel with the EU presidency.
